Pacing

Slow: Try having the individual repeat words after you with a quick pace. Then try to write down phrases and give an example then work to help them speed up.

Fast: Have the patient work on pacing with saying words to a hand tap. Try having the patient practice taking breaths in between words.

Loudness

Is voice to quiet or too loud?

Loud: Have patient listen to appropriate vocal loudness and cue to speak softer

Quiet: Try respiratory exercises-incentive spirometer, diaphragmatic breathing. Try increasing loudness with models on words and phrases
