This is what I carry in my speech therapist bag for my job at skilled nursing facilities. I think its great to have all the tools and materials ready to go in one bag! If you are just starting your CF position or are starting a PRN position, or just wondering what to add to your bag this is what I use daily for adult speech therapy!

I love this bag, can you say pockets for everything!! I love the front pockets for pens/highlighters/sharpies. I love the side pockets for sticky notes/notecards. The inside is also lined with more pockets for organizing glue/tape/flashcards etc. The bag also comes with a pocket for a laptop or Ipad. This bag is also small enough to carry on the shoulder and doesn’t look too bulky!

Unfortunately SNF’s are not stocked well with office supplies unless your rehab manager rocks! Its always good just to make sure you have pens and markers on hand. I like these pens because there a multiple colors which is helpful for underlining materials in therapy and color makes life more fun!

Having a dry erase board always on hand will save you in so many situations. I love dry erase boards for working with aphasia patients. I also like dry erase boards for cognitive games. You will use a dry erase board more than you will ever realize once you get one!
Tongue Depressors
At a skilled nursing facility a rehab manager will provide tongue depressors upon request. If your a traveling SLF or PRN it is best to keep some on hand in case the facility you go to does not have them. A great tool for dysphagia evaluations and treatment. Great little tool for your bag.
